The one good thing that happened this week is that a Rescue have fallen in love with me and want to help, but they are full to overflowing. They said that if I get a Foster Home they will rescue me and take me out of the shelter. So I wanted to ask you nice folks out there if you would be willing to foster me, and save my life? Hello all. I'm Libby. I'm an Ibizan hound mix. Don't feel bad if you don't know what this is. If I wasn't an Ibizan hound I wouldn't know what I was either. But to let you know, I'm on the smaller side (I'm only 22 pounds) and very svelte and slim. I keep myself in trim. I arrived at the local shelter 30 days ago and just found out that it's a high kill shelter. My name is second on the list of dogs to be put to sleep on Monday if I don't get fostered or adopted by then. Which sucks, by the way. Just sucks. Hello everyone, I'm Rebekah, and I need your help. You see, I had a family until quite recently. Then our house was foreclosed on and they had to move. I couldn't stop crying when they told me they couldn't take me with them. I mean, what kind of new home is that?? They took me to the local shelter which, they didn't realize, but it's a high kill shelter. And I really missed them and didn't understand that I was supposed to be finding myself a new family to go home with. And then I found out that my name is at the top of the list of dogs that will be put to sleep on Monday if we don't get adopted or rescued by then. I'm only a year and a half. COME MEET ME! I'M D-BONEZ! And you know, I'm not cute and fluffy. I'm not a little sweet puppy you can curl up in your lap. You can't paint my toenails pink or dress me up in an outfit. And because I'm a hunk of a guy, a real 'boy' of a dog, I'm actually getting overlooked at the local high-kill shelter. I was left to my own devices outside in my previous home, and a concerned neighbor decided that anything would be better than my current living conditions, meaning well, but turning me in to the high kill shelter. I was confused about what was expected of me, and in a large, busy shelter, most people coming in are looking to adopt a ... (Read More)smaller, or younger, dog than me. I don't know why. When 30 days was up, the shelter needed to make room for dogs coming in and so I have ended up on the euthanize list for this week. I don't get it. It's not even my fault that I'm here! I'm a really loving, affectionate dog and it would be such a dreadful thing if a young, strapping young guy like me was put to sleep, through no fault of my own. I LOVE people and my tail wags like crazy when I see anyone. The other dogs always ask me if my tail is going to fall off because I'm wagging it so hard. Do you have a toy? Do you have a tennis ball? Do you want to have a hug? I don't care as long as there's some human contact for me. I also likes other dogs and I am a confident but considerate playmate. I am neutered, up to date on vaccines, and have microchip and tag. Thing is, there's a Rescue wants to rescue me but they are beyond full. They've said, though, that if we can find someone to foster me for a bit, or better still, adopt me forever, then they will be able to rescue me and yay! save my life. I'm Penelope! My brother and I were rescued from the county pound and we are so so happy about that! We both suffered from a condition called Demodex. It's not contagious and it's brought on by stress. Well we were stressed because we were scared in the shelter, but now we have left we look better already! Demodex makes us look a bit bald but my hair has already started to grow well and I'll be good as new in a month or so. I'm very pretty even with the demodex. Imagine what a stunner I will be when it's gone. And yes, it does go away, it doesn't come back, and you won't even be able to tell that I wasn't always completely visually perfect! ... I'm a little puppy called Miley and I was born on May 10th 2014. I was left at the vet's office by mistake so the nice people at the rescue took me under their wing and said they would help find me a family. My foster mommy says I am way ahead of the curve for my age! I am extremely obedient and already concentrating very well. Harley is one of the best dogs we've ever had in rescue! What can we say about this amazing boy that will do him justice? Harley was rescued from doggy death row and is full of the joy of life. He is a handsome pit bull male, who loves being with people of all ages, although would prefer to be an only child dog-wise at home.
